Here’s some news that made me immediately buy more vanilla beans. Beans have gone up from $25/kilo to $40/kilo. Retailers have not yet adjusted their prices yet. I bought 1/2 lb of beans (50 to 60 beans) for about $30 today. Hopefully they will keep well and this stock will last me for a year or more until prices go back down.
I finally finished my excess ice cream in the freezer this week. I waited too long to make pineapple coconut ice cream and ended up eating the pineapple by itself. I hope my honeydew melon is ok, I hope to be making honeydew melon with midori liqueur tonight.
